Career Consultation Information Desk
We offer consultations with staff in the Division of Career Development on career paths and employment opportunities available to graduate students and young researchers in area studies. Publications on how to go about job applications, summaries of past career development discussion meetings, reports on job-search activities by other graduates, and pamphlets with information on events and other activities are also available for browsing.
- Information Desk Opening Times:
Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9.00 a.m.–17.00 a.m.
Closed Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, all national holidays, and over the New Year.
Our materials and pamphlets can be browsed during opening times, and it is also possible to take out items on loan. For individual consultations (job application checks and touch-ups, interview practice, introductions to alumni, etc.), please see the information below to make an appointment.

These consultations are by appointment only. Please apply by email or telephone to book an appointment with our staff member (Ms. Kondo). Each consultation lasts 50 minutes and the limit is one consultation a week per individual. For same-day appointments, please telephone to inquire about availability.
